WebGL Summary

WebGL is a program created by the Khronos Group that is used to make 2D and 3D shapes. It was first introduced in 2006 by Vladimir Vukićević who was working for Mozilla at the time. Apple, Google, Mozilla, and Opera were all on board with the Khronos Group in 2009 to develop it. WebGL was not released until 2 years after in 2011 backed by chairman Ken Russell. The second version of WebGL is currently being developed this year. WebGL is compatible with several computer and mobile browsers including : Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safair, Opera, Internet Explorer, Android Browser, BlackBerry Playbook, Firefox for mobile, Firefox OS, Memo, Opera  mobile, Tizen 1.0, Ubuntu Touch, Web OS, and iOS.

Class 9 Cloud Party

Here are my screenshots from building in Cloud Party. Who wouldn't want to kick back and hang out at this chill spot? I decided to make a living room on a beach because it is the definition of luxury. Watch some sports and take a dip in the water whenever you please! I simply used the  materials that were given in Cloud party and created an unusual yet very appealing "room." Put 2 chairs behind the couch just in case extra people come over! And if you don't feel like watching TV you can grab the soccer ball and get a pickup game going!

Midterm 4

Here is my Midterm 4. I logged into Cloud Party, took a screenshot, and added text using the text tool in Gimp.
It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc

Class 7 Assignment 2 (C)

This is my image using the paste tool.

Class 7, Assignment 2 (A,B,D)

Above is the original image.

In this image above, I altered the image using multiple tools - the selection tools, stroke, and the opacity slider were all used in manipulating this image. Using the selection tool, I used the lasso selection tool and circled around the edges of the ferris wheel. Once this was selected, I created a new layer and created a gradient as you can see above. I then lowered the opacity, putting it down to about 15-20%. I created another gradient, and put it down to about 5-10%, making a more desirable effect for me. Next, I created a stroke around the circle that I selected with the lasso tool. I then inverted the selection, selecting everything outside of the ferriswheel circle, then using a texture to fill the entirety of the image besides the ferriswheel. Finally I lowered the opacity of that texture so it doesn't consume the whole picture.
